The Force is with him. Star Wars’ actor Manny Jacinto has said making Season 2 of The Acolyte is now his personal life goal. They choose the wisest person present to speak to. Ian McKellan has been asked to return as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. The famed actor told Big Issue that Warner Bros. is not only putting Gandalf in its 2026 film, obviously centred around Gollum, but that it wants him to return to the iconic role for a third time. “I’ve just been told there are going to be more films and Gandalf will be involved and they hope that I’ll be playing him,” McKellen said.

The game caused a $200 million hit to revenue. Rocksteady Studios has reportedly laid off several staff members as a result of the disastrous release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Anonymous employees told Eurogamer that the Rocksteady quality assurance team had been cut from 33 members to 15 with poor sales of Suicide Squad (which cost owner Warner Bros. Discovery a $200 million hit to revenue) cited directly.

With Baldur’s Gate 3’s final update approaching, Larian Studios looks back and looks forward without regrets. In July of 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 was hardly a blip on my radar. When it was released one month later, it became one of my favorite games of all time. Now, the game is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Its seventh major patch, which will add official modding support and new endings to the game, is right around the corner, and developer Larian Studios launched a brand new YouTube channel to provide behind-the-scenes looks at the game and its developers.

El rata. The Colin Farrell-led Penguin spin-off show from The Batman universe won’t feature Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight. The Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc and executive producer Matt Reaves (also director of The Batman) told SFX Magazine that a cameo from the man himself isn’t necessary and doesn’t necessarily make sense. “Matt’s films are through the lens of the Batman, so you’re high up, looking down on the city,” LeFranc said. “It’s a different perspective.
