Last year, Blizzard launched a new event in World of Warcraft: Classic called Season of Discovery. The game mode offered players the chance to explore an old-school version of the MMORPG as it existed back in 2004, but with a twist. Players would be able to collect “runes” that would transform their characters into wacky new variations like mage healers or shaman tanks. New quests and other secrets were said to pepper the world, and certain dungeons were converted into larger, more challenging raids with new bosses and new loot.

Infinity Nikki, an open-world dress up role-playing game from former The Legend of Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga, has hit 12 million pre-registrations before a release date has even been announced. The game’s official X/Twitter account announced the huge milestone, thanking everyone who’s signed up already and encouraging more to sign up. A total of 12,206,661 players have signed up for the game so far, but developer PaperGames’ next target is 20 million, followed by 25 and 30 million.

BOOM! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series has long since established itself as one of the best licensed comics on the stands. The series has spent years building on the foundation of the beloved TV series and establishing new Power Rangers characters like Lord Drakkon and the Ranger Slayer. But that all finally came to an end this summer with the release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Darkest Hour #1. An eight-year saga has come to a close.

We may be getting a modern version of Anaconda on the big screen, with two big comedic actors in slithering around to star. According to a report from THR today, Jack Black and Paul Rudd are in talks to star in a “re-imagining” of the 1997 action-horror film. What’s more, Tom Gormican, known for his work on the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal-starring comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, is co-writing and directing the movie for Columbia Pictures.

Joker director Todd Phillips has confirmed that the long-awaited Hulk Hogan biopic with Chris Hemsworth is no longer happening. Phillips provided the disappointing update on the Hulk Hogan biopic during an interview with Variety, telling the outlet: “I love what we were trying to do, but that’s not going to come together for me." Hemsworth reportedly signed on to play the wrestling champion in 2019, with Phillips in the director’s chair.

Microsoft has announced a new Xbox accessory that continues the company’s mission of making gaming accessible for everyone. Microsoft revealed the Xbox Adaptive Joystick in a new Xbox Wire blog post today. The Xbox Adaptive Joystick features four buttons and one big black joystick at the top center of the device’s design. This peripheral is designed as a “companion” to the company’s Xbox Adaptive Controller and other Xbox controllers, specifically for players with limited mobility.

Now Clover Press is back for the second and final installment in the series, and they’ve got plenty more creative muscle to bring to bear. Microsoft has announced two new Xbox Series X consoles and one new Xbox Series S console will be released on October 15, 2024, including a digital-only Xbox Series X. The consoles, which are now available to preorder, were outlined on Xbox Wire, where Microsoft confirmed the impending simultaneous release for the All-Digital Xbox Series X, the Special Edition 2TB Xbox Series X, and the 1TB Xbox Series S in Robot White (previously only available in Carbon Black).
